so, i wrote a big-ass review and somehow i lost it due to my own stupidity.
anyway, before i get into my review, i want to say that i thought this was a really good record. the music is top notch. except for a few things, this is definitely a strong debut record.
first of all, the vibe on the record is loose. unfortunately, at times, it's to the detriment of the music. the playing could definitely be tighter and more upbeat, particularly on the first two tracks.
the thing that really does it for me, however, is the vocalist. not to say that he's a bad vocalist, but he just doesn't really do it for me, and i can't help but get the feeling that some of the tracks would have been a bit better with a more passionate delivery.
but anyway, good job.
