Idol is a greatly fused track, incorporating technology and its forerunners to their utmost. Other Talking is a dark, ambient track, full of voices, with the big boss at the end. Give Me My Horse Back, harks back to a day when the 'ownership' of a horse was a major part of a person's existence and status even. Musically, it's definitely got a kick in it.
Then, Deep Water, Dark Hair is naturally very liquid and refers potentially to depths of the mind and our own curious introspection. The Life of Worms was sounded in a subterranean way, implying the depths of the earth and their efforts to aerate the ground we stand on. Giving them life must embue some level of communication if not shared consciousness. How many people give thought to such things?
So that's what it sounds like to be an invertebrate, next comes, The Spirit of Fireflies. Conceptually we are now standing on a curious consideration of consciousness and soulfulness of an insect with its back end being subjected to a wonderful chemical reaction.
