Finger Trap is a EP recorded live for The KFFM Podcast Show. Porpoise played a full set in April 2008 to a packed cellar audience at the Katie Fitzgerald's pub in their home town of Stourbridge, UK. Everything was set for a great show until singer, Dave injured his hand the day before in a work related accident. After some time in A & E, he and guitarist Pete sat down and ran through a revised set whilst Dave took his 'good hand' to Synth which he'd not really played before, certainly not live in front of a packed room of people! It certainly gave the songs a more primative edge, mixing a comical New Wave vibe alongside a molten buzzsaw guitar sound. Bass player Jon's high end bass work took an almost lead guitar role. Everything came together on stage. There was no time for rehearsals. The band did their best. 'Finger Trap' is a snapshot of what happened that evening.
