C'était Pour Rigoler [EP] present us with a lovely array of tracks, that just get better the more you listen to them, from the hypnotic suggestivism of the first track, through the brilliant Something in the Street. Passed the retro-minimalism of Non, Pas Question Dfaire Mes Dvoirs, then you bump into Elisa for a light hearted chatter and then, Même Classe Lombard, which has a fantastic roll of synthetic noise running through it, only to be lost to a voice loop and regained to the nth degree at the end again.
Each track a wonderful buoyancy to it, and the energy, genre y, is very present. It's experimental and humorous, which is what wins me over, even through it's at that frontier of 'electronic', it's a brave go for sure!-) Entre Véhicules Roulants (Version Embouteillage) being a prime version of ability to 'do' electronic, the interesting bits are the fusion for me. I think, certainly in particular places it works very well.
Thanks.
