SUR as a group began to take shape in the end of the year 2001 after its founder finished writing and producing the music for the theatre performance Lust by the director and choreographer Sebastjan Starič. In the context of this project the first versions of some of the tracks included on this album were created, sung at that time by Urška Samec and Mojca Žerjal. Encouraged by the feedback, the group continued working on their debut album. In the summer of 2002 the singer Neža Trobec - Teropšič joined the team.

This was the first "physical" album by SUR, recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, and published by the band itself. The material focused strongly on sound, production and arrangements.
