Exceptionally nice start to Rain! Lovely atmosphere, and sometimes I like rain, sometimes it feels good, washing the earth of its accumulated dirt. Quite a positive sensation to the track, as it reverberates beautifully. Good sound and rhythm construction. Quite minimalist but disproportionately effective on the ear channels. Then, out onto the Streets! Still sounds like it's raining but with added background noise and a subtle, echoing melody that pulsates nicely. Slipping and sliding around, on and off the pavements.
2.A.M.(Margin!) nice dub sounds, working to the limit. Got to get it done, like I promised!-) Almost sums up that throbbing head when working to deadlines. On the edge of human endurance, which is kind of how I feel today. Up at six and haven't really stopped, apart from the odd break. Dub and the darkness of Night, all you need is a hotbox and you're away for the remainder. Wonderfully atmospheric, full of fear and danger. Blades and guns, and on the run.
Strangedayz! (Hard-Mix) quite light on the bass, but it has the immediacy of a drive-by. Something to make you wonder about the sort of day you can have for no particular reason. Strange days have found us, strange days are here again. Cool mix, does the tricks. Darkstepping! - Final Mix, leaves the album as the final track. Tidy diversification on the original theme. Again, comparatively lighter than the earlier tracks though it makes up for it in other ways, with layers of sonic interest. Almost a soundtrack to life as the artist experiences it. Feels like a heart and soul have been invested, and I find I appreciate that amount of effort. Nice one, again!
