The "short" version:

In 2008, inspired by Jonathan Coulton's Thing a Week and the 10 week, 36 track Ghosts I-IV by nine inch nails, I decided to map out a period of 3 months where I attempted to make a song every week. Knowing that I had a day job, wasn't very good at this in the first place, and tended toward 10-track albums, I gave myself 2 "off" weeks - making the challenge 10 tracks in 3 months.

This is the result of that. I made it a rule to not use any of my existing patches or effects setups, and do everything I could from scratch (or as near as one can using samples.)

It has some definite clunkers, but it was more about the journey than the destination. There are a couple songs on this album that I am very happy with, and forcing myself to adhere to this kind of scheduled output really revitalized the creative juices. I also learned some things about how to fit creative time into a busy week with work and life obligations.

So, know that this was an experimental and hurried product, but feel free to treat it however you want.

As the licensing page states, you're free to do pretty much whatever you want with it, as long as you're not making money off it.
