[about]

_"Kenji Siratori":

-Born March 13, 1975, in Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan, Kenji Siratori is a cyberpunk author and internet self-promoter. He first gained attention in 2006 by writing to as many industrial, ambient, EBM and goth bands he could find, including "reviews" of them in his idiosyncratic style, and asking to collaborate. His scattergun approach proved successful, despite his reviews of non-sequitirs and non-sensical cyberspeak being interchangeable, and a slew of collaborations from flattered musicians were soon foisted upon the world.Known for his experimental prose and nonlinear narrative, his first book, Blood Electric, was published in 2002.Kenji is part of the bizarro movement in literature. He is currently bombarding the internet with wave upon wave of highly experimental, uncompromising, progressive, intense prose. His is a writing style that not only breaks with tradition, it severs all cords, and can only really be compared to the kind of experimental writing techniques employed by the Surrealists, William Burroughs and Antonin Artaud. Embracing the image mayhem of the digital age, his relentless prose is nonsensical and extreme, avant-garde and confused, with precedence given to twisted imagery, pace and experimentation over linear narrative and character development. With unparalleled stylistic terrorism, he unleashes his literary attack. An unprovoked assault on the senses. Blood Electric (Creation Books) was acclaimed by David Bowie.

Wonderful atmosphere from the start and a lot to read, so I will listen and rely on my intuition. I like the combination of voice and sound, well-balanced, which I would kind of expect. A solid stance, with focus of chi. An intense but subtle sensation overwhelms my senses, not in a threatening manner, more like formidable but controlled firmly. The third track opens up more, the expression seems clearer and brighter. Digital Flood brings back a sensation of seriousness, and it is tangible. There is a digital flood in reality. No longer in-formation but over-formation. Here it is kept in check as is the whole album so far. Well focused. The final track, Insane Asylum touches me in a way that not everyone, if anyone, will appreciate although, to be fair, the difference in culture and attitude, I would imagine to be vastly different. Although, is madness part of an crazed collective consciousness. That is something profound to ponder upon, I suspect so, at it's most fundamental level. Very interesting album and very thought provoking. Would have liked a bit more instrumentalism to balance the accumulation of voice, which seems to grow as the album progresses.

Wow. Japan already delivered great original sounds i like, and here is another fine piece. Great combination of vocals and atmospheres, very industrial and darkish. Here voice gives moods, is an instrument as well, and i read also the texts should be very interesting, so english translation please in the booklet. Very nice and intriguing work. Its all in the air already, it comes in pieces all over the world, you just have to pick it up.
