Dedication aside, The Madness was but a subtle prefractory note to the ephemeral darkness of The Lie. As for The Truth, within the light there is by necessity, in part the lie. A warped reflection of a shadow. However, I am as ever curious about a methodology. The option for washing my brain, would be a long, protracted ritualism. Play the game to the ultimate, for the guilty are not always guilty, though everything balances up the same. That's the only truth I can see in this. So what is the significance of 'Metropolis'. Is this merely a statement that all that is conceived as 'truth' within the notional city-state, and surely its environs, are but a falsity. Our civilized ascension into a framework for living in disproportionate degrees of variability, plurality, relativism. That hints at objectivism. So, what of the truth? Merely an epistemological escape route?

I hope to continue this soliliquy soon with part Two of the method of penetration into the illusion of reality... :)
