Amazing sound manipulation from the outset, I am literally bowled over and lie prostrate with the brilliance of this artists creative force. I sat back and listened and actually felt the track conveyed a sense of its title, Discovering My Artificial Body. Then moving into a deeper sense of synthetic self-awareness, with the second track Being A Sophisticated Object. Stunning work. Low Power is a transporting piece of work, were you do feel like you are running out of energy. Hit Me, makes me think of the masochist pleading to be hit, and the sadist refusing, and the maxim that desire does not desire satisfaction, desire desires desire. Beat Me Again is like a diptych to Hit Me. As for Here Are My Pleasure Sensors, I am stunned by its techno magnificence. Electric Transe speaks to me in a deep way, I have an interface that computes with it. There comes with all this sensory excess, a cerebral paucity, that Empty Mind captures excellently well and it all fits with the general theme of the album unbelievably well and very perceptive. Here is a musical skill of experiential expression done fantastically. Even echoing in the empty mind the previous tracks that hark back to memories that are mere cobwebs in amongst the transistors. Brilliantly done. The final track, SM Android, being the ultimate accumulation of all that has gone on before it. From intial conception, through self-awareness, experience, effect, and final essence.
A truly fantastic album from an immensely skilled artist who just gets better everytime. Jamendo are going to have to create an 11 in the scoring system. Exceptional. Thanks for sharing AV.
