Dieser Sound ist was für die jüngere Generation der Leser, die Emos. Denn bei To Leave a Trace geht es um einen Mix aus Emocore und Screamo. Am Gesang ist, so wie ich das raushöre, Weibsvolk vertreten. Der klare Gesang ist teils sehr zart und nicht immer perfekt auf den Ton, mag aber auch etwas an der weinerlichen Stimmlage liegen, die hier und da durchscheint. Der aggressive Part ist dann im Screamo-Bereich angesiedelt und ist daher eher was für Fans dieser Richtung, mir fast etwas zu schrill. Aber das ist Geschmacksache. Musikalisch wechselt die Band zwischen ruhigen, gefühlsvollen Passagen, teils auch mit akustischen Elementen, die dann durch treibende und raue Riffs abgelöst werden. Mal davon abgesehen, daß der Screamo nicht so 100%ig mein Fall ist, denke hat die Band durchaus Potential und könnte noch das eine oder andere gute Stück abliefern. Dieser Release ist noch nicht perfekt, aber zeigt schon sehr gute Ansätze.

Gefällt mir aufjedenfall. 9 Punkte gibt es aber "nur", weil ich finde die Stimme der Sängerin klingt melodisch nicht so gut, als wenn sie ihre Scream Parts hinlegt.

Альбом доволі крутий. Хороше звучання, напрочуд хороше звучання. Я б хотів почути в живу. Проте мала б бути хоч одна пісня українською.

Clear vocals, resonating lyrics, catchy hooks, and a good length for a first album. I loved the use of turn-tables, and the bass was just great. There are a few sound-effects I wish I knew how to make, that appear on "Farther Than a Visible Skyline" that really added to the mood of the track.
I also really dug the cover art, and though I should probably feel bad about it, that image was why I clicked and listened.
If I had to come up with a criticism, it would be that this is -not- 'rock', or 'alternative'. It hit my ears as any modern metal album would.
I think I found a new favorite artist, and I can't wait for the next album.
