Following two EPs of variable quality, this album exists as the final culmination of musical ideas and nearly-perfected production techniques, thus completing the sentence (imperative or interrogative, no one knows). For this recording to be fully realized, consider purchasing Charles Darwin's Origin of the Species and constructing your own cyclic model of the universe.

This was fully recorded, mixed, and mastered at The Homestead (one of the several Modicum of Silence studios) between May 6 and June 16, 2009. It was created entirely through open-source software on an IBM Thinkpad G40 running Ubuntu Studio. As always, all instrumentation, production, and lyrics are attributed to Nic Ross and released under a Creative Commons license.

though it continues the hardcore/post-rock themes of prior our subatomic earth records, "infinite" is recognizably head and shoulders above previous releases. compositions are stronger while nic ross has improved the integration of thematic concepts. production, as always, is terrible, but ross manages to overcome slightly out-of-tune guitars and home recording with a highly complex and intelligent combination of aggressive and ambient music.

a recommended listen for fans of isis, explosions in the sky, godspeed you black emperor, the pax cecilia, and poison the well.

Not That Bad An Attempt... I like Some Parts A Lot.

I'am not sure you, really want this review, even thou, you asked me. to be honest, I'am, just doing it, to hopefully help you understand, what I think, my own opinion and no one else's. so please don't take offence to this please.. Just trying to help.. As a listener.. I hope..

I thought the first track was to noisy and upset my delicate ears, at the begining of track, then quite ambient sounding, which was better and I liked. Compared to first part of track, that was just awful to my ears. and a bit incoherent as well. Then went loud again and a bit hectic sounding at end. Then quite again.

Basically to much going on at start and end of this track for me, to understand fully.ie to many loud and quite parts. hated loud parts loved quite parts... and the vocals.

Second track, better more quite and loud again, but felt as thou, it was more managed as a track in general. And made better senses to me. The composition was better and the music in general.

Third Track. Loved the start, the emotions, feelings to the music. the build up. the best so far, I liked a lot on listening to this music. More emotions, better use of music and instruments. the tempo building and so much more is heard and felt on this track. Great track. loved it guys. then going gentle, nice variety in the music and really suits the music as well. I could go on. but you get the just of what i'am saying, regards this piece of music.

Fourth Track. Good clean start, nice vocals. refreshing, stirring, nice deep base heard.. liked it a lot..when the vocals got louder and the music, I didn't want to listen no more. as sounded awful.. and mixed up together both music and vocals. couldnt listen no more guys sorry to this track. hurt my ears..

Five Track. Dramatic, stirring, very interesting opening to this track, even spacey sounding, and atmospheric, I let my imagination lose on this track. awesome so far sounding. Really enjoyed this track. I would give you 8 for this one alone out of 10 or even a 9 maybe as I enjoyed this one that much.

Six Track.Not sure about this one..
