When the effects of a heavy mind bashing seem too much for the poor psyhead, out comes DJ solar system with his new album! The motto of the album seems to be “move your feet and just let your mind flow down the caverns of peace”! Retaining a few dark elements the tracks move the listener slowly out of confusion and into the plane of utter calm!!
The album starts seductively with touches of a musical Casanova, who lets the basses bounce rhythmically over the silvery tings of various elements. The track invites sweet love, never permanent! The album then switches mode and jumps right onto the dance floor. The bass line retains its strength through the entire track while the effects take hold of the right combinations to make you flow with the crowd! An evening out with nothing but yourself and a faith in the “cycle of life”, not a stone shall remain untouched now! Must be because it is the 21st century that a neon revolution jams the speakers with the “bamboo forest remix”, swirling lights and neon fantasies rule! The fifth track begins with a very well know “aww” sound that brings back memories of some teenage funk, but the sounds and the base line transform the track into something very fresh and does not give you any time to think back.
The sixth track onwards the effects become unpredictable. The sounds are cleverly tampered with so as to simulate opening a soda bottle on a tripped out rainy air strip, while in the eighth track the listener can easily visualize waves crashing on top of each other producing multicolored foam!
The most effective track in terms of an artist should be the ninth because it keeps the background sounds and the effects to a bare minimal and yet produces very strong and forceful sounds.
The ninth and tenth are mixed with touches from two master, Solar System and Noga. While Solar system’s love for uniformly distributed beats rule the basses, Noga’s artistic melodies and chants bring a dimension change throughout the tracks!
