Something Old, Something New

This is an album of guitar written songs usually with country and rock influences. The instrumentation is well performed and the female and male vocalists are very good singers. My favourite track is The Homeless, great songwriting and lyrics. The volume of the album is sometimes varying from track to track (a producer I know recommends aiming for 95dB on every track), sometimes the vocals could be a little louder (they should always be audibly in the forefront in regular songs) and also the reverb/delay on the vocals accentuates any static-like noise. The effect improves their sound, I only mean turning it down, smoothing and/or shortening it. I'm only trying to be constructive as the foundations are great.

Tja, so wie's aussieht, ist der Name des Albums Programm, alte und neue Stücke gemischt. Die Stücke selbst sind dabei gewohnt im Blues-Rock-Folk anzusiedeln, wie ich damals schon "schrub" gehen die Stücke in Richtung Billy Ray Cyrus, wenn man das mal so sagen darf. Das Beste Stück der Platte ist meiner heiligen bescheidenen Meinung nach "Poor Little Rich Girl", mit auch deswegen weil die meisten Stücke auf der Platte einfach nur mies aufgenommen sind, sie sind meistens viel zu leise.
