Kilkë was formed in 1998 by two musicians who met whilst playing in a
local rock band, Uncool Frank.
It was intended as an experiment in electronic music of an industrial slant.
Throughout its sometimes interrupted past (due to house
moving and other commitments) it has produced a variety of material, and its first
18 months of life resulted
in the release of the debut album 'Let The Sun Shine In'.
Since then a second album, 'Gomi No Sensei', has been produced, and, with the addition of two more
band members, new and old material is being prepared to be played live.
Kilkë is not intended to conform to one particular style but to evolve continuously.
Drawing on wide musical influences such as dance,
techno, retro, industrial and baroque classical, as well as non-electronic forms, the
results are unhindered by genre.
