Ran Kirlian is a musician and multimedia artist from Spain focussed in dark-ambient, tribal and atmospheric styles. Kirlian’s started loving ambient in the begin of the ’90 after he discovers the music of artists like Steve Roach, Robert Rich and Alio Die, after that he started to explore his own musical pathways, and sharing his music with the outside world via Napster. While his music is mostly based on synthesizers, his music usually contains a variety of sounds like field recordings, tibetan bowls, voices, didgeridoo, ethnic percussions and flutes, etc.
Ran Kirlian, artista multimedia afincado en Castellón (España) cuya obra se caracteriza por combinar medios en la creación de su música, haciendo uso mayormente de sintetizadores pero también grabaciones ambientales e instrumentos acústicos de caracter étnico, tales como didgeridoo, bowl tibetano, flautas, percusiones sudamericanas y orientales, etc. Su extensa obra cubre mayormente el estilo ambient, tocando muchos de los subgéneros que coexisten aquí: tribal, space y dark ambient sobretodo. Entre sus mayores influencias cabe citar a artistas de la talla de Steve Roach, Alio Die, Robert Rich, Oöphoi e incluso leyendas como Vangelis o Jean Michel Jarre.
