Combining innovative songwriting with the catchiness of electronic pop music and the dynamics of experimental post-hardcore structures, INBORN! have forged their own path far from the musical trends of their time since their creation in early 2010. Largely inspired by contemporary architecture, the suggestive impact of icons and film noirs, the band always worked in scenarios and feels compelled by an everyday life where our senses have adapted to the artificial landscapes of social networking. There is a sensation of danger to this music that feels increasingly agitated, baroque and futuristic at once. The luxembourgish art rock outfit has already shared the stage with bands like Forward Russia!, Deftones, This Town needs Guns, Prodigy, The Gossip among others.
In the course of a secret recording resulting in this year’s release of the ‘En Vogue EP’, the band decided to manoeuvre their sound into new territories creating a style labelled by some critics as ‘21st century dance rock’ or even ‘progressive disco’. Following a mysterious stroke of fate, the band got contacted by Ross Robinson (At the Drive-In, The Cure, Klaxons) and entered his studio in Venice Beach last October to work on their first official long-player.
The record which deals with the emotional loss of the century 21 generation, is centred around the central character of Dorothy Hale and should change the way people perceive bands nowadays while redefining the status of rock music in a world that has turned increasingly artificial. The related imagery will present the band in a more futuristic light, crystallizing the vision that has haunted them ever since they started performing together. In the wake of next year’s events, you will be able to witness the transformation of a band turning into a persona on its own terms.
