Psychocean is a free-form project that took shape in Catania, Italy, at the beginning of 2007. Since the inception of the band, a non-stylistic choice was the way to go: every note, every single word flowed out of our minds just ad libitum.
“Embryonal Confinement” is Psychocean’ debut MCD including 4 songs written between January and May 2007 and digitally recorded with engineer Graziano Manuele (Ueickap gtr player) midsummer of the same year. This record is a mini-concept dealing with new religion, the consumerism doctrine… People born as slaves of society’s prisonlike situations, doomed to be only pawns of a system which has lost every singular moral principle. Only individual mental capacity could overthrow this situation and set man free from impending psychic slavery.
Psychocean is also featured on “NeuroSounds Vol.1 : Stones From The Sky” with the track “Overtones”. “NeuroSounds…” is the very first compilation gathering the italian “post” scene, and it’s put together by NeuroPrison staff, Italian Neurosis and Post-Core forum (neuroprison.blogspot.com / neuroprison.forumfree.net)
