Sascha Mersch is a composer, pianist, singer and performer from Berlin. His compositions as well as the way he stages them are forceful, sombre and agressive.
He is part of the tradition of singer-songwriters and feels an affinity for Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen. He sings his compositions into his audiences' head and right between their legs.
When he hits the keys it seems as if a symphony orchestra was playing - fortunately this has little relation to the jingle and the jangle of a well-tempered piano.
