In 2004, singer and producer Mary O.D. got into a fight with his former band Odrezak. He stated that their music was not dancefloor-ready and wanted to pursue a different approach on music, but got kicked out by the remaining members. Two days later, the Odrezak members suddenly disappeared without a trace and have not been seen since.
After auditioning in many different dance projects as singer (but to no avail), he finally picked it up his own. His first attempts remained fruitless and he became addicted to drugs and alcohol.
Two years later, he met dance musician and rapper DJ Vibeseeker in a club in Nikšić, Montenegro. Vibeseeker was also in search of a musical project. One week later, The Love Dictators was born. Vibeseeker and Mary O.D. soon found a working formula: Groovy, danceable Eurodance with Vibeseekers Serbian accent rapping and Mary O.D. clean singing. They have finished their demo, HeartBEATS, in 2007.
