Classical "Deep House" track in two remixes. Listening to the first one, I had hoped to find a little more progression and floor-orientation in the second track, which turned out to be exactly the opossite: Even deeper, more reduced and subtile.
Unaufdringliche melodische Komponenten, backgroundiger, gelassener Jungle/DnB Rhythmus. Kann man ganz gut anhören und wohl auch dem Dancefloor anvertrauen.
Drei Noten angeklickt, drei vorgefertigte Presets ausgewählt, drei Minuten lang dudeln lassen, oder?
Kollegenschelte gehört sich bekanntermassen nicht - also stattdesssen ein Wort von Musiker zu Knöpfchendrücker: Verarschen kann ick mir selber!
Eigentlich etwas zu melodisch und "retro" für meinen Geschmack, aber dieser Sorte klassischen spät 80er 16bit Electropops samt passendem -und sehr gekonnt angewendetem- Vocoder-Exzess besticht mich förmlich.
"Remixing" sounds from some dozen different sources or in this case creating a completely new piece of music from them is one of the hardest and most ungrateful jobs in the world. The frickin pieces just won't fit together and if they finally do, getting them into some sort of "least common denominator-mastering cain" is like handling a sack of fleas...

Gefällt von der ersten Filterfahrt über den ersten sorgfältig modulierten, nicht zu schnellen Ton bis zum letzten. Nicht unbedingt Musik für den Dancefloor (es sei denn, man hat die undankbare Aufgabe, ihn für die ersten drei verlorenen Gäste "anzuwärmen") aber ganz bestimmt für den Sonntagnachmittag. Ob er nun sonnig ist, oder nicht.
would have been "interesting". Six of them are rather exhausting, even to the experimental-savy listener. To be honest, I am getting a little tired of "toolbox-noise-based" ambient.
Classic "mainstream" trance. Although rhythmic concepts and musical structure are working quite well, the melodic parts let no doubt, that the author has no real understanding of tonal composition or even basic keys and not enough practice, skill or patience to fix the (partially plain dilletantic) results by try and error.
"Skinny Puppy on steroids" was my first thought. My second thought was "Skinny Puppy on steroids through an old BOSS analog distortion".
This is really tough stuff :) Not what I'd call "Dark Tech" rather contemporary Dark Wave that has -finally- dropped it's annoying whinery & self-pity and arrived at the post-industrial age.
Huh?! Wait... what's that f***ing piano doing here? OK the third track sucks - not really. It does some surprising change to something very familiar: could be Front Line Assembly (despite of that f***ing piano) and back to very Skinny-Puppy-like distorted, far away vocals lost between the rhythmic explosions of a die-hard industrial drum section.
