it's a plain commodity to think of musical genres as fads, that come and go with the wind, and one day are the source of everyone's taste, on the next day are considered ridiculous on society's eye. Something like that happened to grunge.
The ones who got away pretend they never liked it, and the ones who still like it pretend to move forward and adapt it to new influences, making it dull.
Van Tha Dog strikes us with a record that says everything he wants to say in its title "acoustic grunge rock sound" - either swallow it or spit it out!
This album is impregnated with the sound of rage, of a life hardened by its circumstances, but with hope and a dark sense of humour.
An excellent, raw record, from this portuguese musician now living in France. Hope to hear a new one soon.

okay, so this is not the kind of music I would usually listen to, but surprisingly this one took me to another dimension and makes me want to find out more. really excellent sounds.
