I wish I could come up with the right way to categorize this group. They are so tight, and clearly talented. Reminds me quite a bit of Dave Matthews -- with a strong arena rock influence. There is something about this reminds me of a band I played with 20 years ago, it brings back such fine memories. Only Cool Cavemen pull off the tunes with unbelievably fine technique. Particularly track three, which is *way too fast*, but still a piece of art simply from the point of view of being too fast, and still pulled off. Love the bass work. Like some other reviews, not my typical genre, but the pieces really grow on you.
The remastered version sounds great!
I really like the up-beat tone energy and composition. Catherine Wheel is my favorite from this collection, but London Calling a close second.
If you like this album your really should lend an ear to "Slim" which is another project by the same artist ... the same unmistakable voice and style, but with a maybe bit more polish.

Can I say how refreshing to hear someone who really knows how to sing. There are few people out there with a better voice or skill in using it.
Beyond being superbly listenable, I find the lyrics thoughtful. This has grown to be one of my favorite albums.
Refreshing, complex, and the progressions keep going. Really great. Two things are evident: a lot of time spent on these, and artist has talent. Only four songs, but it is about quality not quantity.
I am sure the last thing an artist wants to hear is their music described as good background music ... but actually that is exactly what I am looking for. I need something I can listen to while working. It has to be instrumental, upbeat, and energetic in a subtle way. This album has all of these.
I found a link to New Town in a list of classical piano pieces and I almost skipped over because I was afraid if might be another cheap synth piece, but it is not. I love the careful layering of light-jazz melodies over background rhythmic electronic fabric. Executed with flawless technique.
By the way, probably perfect backdrop music for a photo slide show.
Really really nice. Kind of space trance, with a strong hint of Jean-Michel Jarre. Not normally my thing, but it is very well done. I ended up listening to the whole thing, and then favorited it. Artist's Spanish accent throws a nice twist to the space opera story. Very polished and enjoyable.
Ska should be tight, balanced, energetic. This is all of these. Don't pay any attention to critics who don't like the genre.
I love it. Great voice. Great guitar. I like knowing you are just up the bay in Oakland. Reminds me of Marc Cohn. Wonderful find, a new favorite.
maybe artistic, but not at all interesting.
Amazing, awesome, thanks!
