- and he just keeps getting better! What more can I say? This album is just too, too good, utterly replete with those magical flying fingers of Jamendo's very own guitar hero. I love his album cover, his theme, and his compositions. A Marvelous job as usual. I especially loved the sweet "Elvia's Spirit" with its gentle plucking and dancing flute. I really loved the exotic "Ghost Geisha" just because I love Asian flavored music. The plaintive "Andalusian Romance" was just very lovely. All his rock tunes are outstanding as usual.

I was trying to analyze why his music resonates so well with me, my ears, my heart, and I decided today that it is because he fuses sweetness and strength so well. He puts a lot of his heart into his compositions and it reveals a kindness and thoughtfulness that is often lacking in the compositions of others in this genre. I think he must have been born with this gift.

I wasn't planning on doing any reviews today as I have very little time, but when I saw that PeerGynt had a new album out I couldn't wait to 'tear off the wrapper' and listen. Thanks Mr. Lobogris for another outstanding performance.

Great bunch of songs - a bit on the country side of rock/blues. I was hugely impressed with Jeff's powerful singing voice. My first thought was, Johnny Cash sound-a-like. Wonderful. The lyrics were also excellent and professional sounding. I think this man should be on the stage somewhere or everywhere. He is quite the entertainer with outstanding talent encompassing every aspect of his music - guitar, lyrics, voice.

Blue Chill - Floating Wood

Loved "Whales" which was a melancholic sounding song, kind of like the whale song itself, very deeply blue. This one was more experimental and interesting besides being beautiful and including our beloved whales at the end. "Moon in June" seemed to float right off of the previous track. Most of these tracks seem to blend well together and maintain a relaxed tempo. Some of the tracks on this album I didn't care for - but I found them all quite interesting. Some were quite beautiful.

At first I didn't care for that male vocal but I have to admit as the songs progressed it grew on me and I found that it suited the melodies quite well. He was a rather laid back, almost lazy singer, mostly experimental and not quite folk, but with his acoustic guitar, and other instruments, and earthy sounds injected into these tracks, this singer had a great deal of charm. Over all I would say that this album is worth a listen.

This is outstanding Trance Dance - nice clear sounds - good feelings - perfect. I especially liked the first track which had a bit of a nice melodic tone to it. "Feeling Stars" had a hard beat at the intro and then morphed into a super driving electronic tune - still enticing, inviting that hard dance. Outstanding!

Listen to the speech - the music is good too. This is a very interesting track with an interesting statement and a very good question.

Very nice Mr. Henky. You are good at your j-o-y! I am hooked on "Black Sun." "Mei-Fen" was outstanding. I had to share this album with my FaceBook people and told them that I was addicted to it. "Oriental Way" was ear pounding, not loud, just there - strong presence.

These electronic songs are engulfing, wrapping around your brain until your eyes glaze over. I love it - I could move to these beat waves but I'm too tired and a little hypnotized. Your tones are clear, your tunes (if you can call them tunes) are upbeat and happy, your mixes are marvelous. My only complaint is that your music has this magical ability to put me in a trance. You should have a warning label on your albums.

I'm not sure what the people were saying (it sounded like some kind of drama) but I sure liked the hard beat and the ambient sounds zooming by like jet planes and some kind of other worldly static. I'm sure we were meant to be on a trip to somewhere because I felt like I was. I really liked this and I felt a bit insane before this nearly eight minute track was over. I don't think I've ever heard anything quite like this and since we don't seem to have tags anymore I will never know what genre this is but I find that I don't want to quit listening (I'm sure that is part of the insanity!)

Beautiful acoustic guitar, very lovely, moving, relaxing music. I really liked the "flying" song which was just gorgeous. This is sweet guitar music with some instrumental accompanying it. I think the sound quality is a little blurry at times but overall this is a very enjoyable album.

I wish people would tag their music because I wasn't in the mood for dance but I actually really enjoyed this. Dance! Dance! Nice beats, nice tunes, mixes, bits and pieces of sounds and layers laid out to keep us moving. Good concoctions on this album. Lots of fun to be had.

'BIG CITY HALL'

I loved "Big City Hall" - I felt as though I was someplace big and public. And then there was the "Escalator" clanking and banging away (I hate escalators), but I loved this piece - very nice. Its very creative of Spisfire to take common everyday situations and make it evolve into a lovely melody, a work of art. "Doom" sounded like a riot, really! Interesting and experimental. I really loved the icy cold, blowing sounds of "Doomsday in the Universe." The drums in that one were especially great. "Silver Women" was really stunning in its quiet, carnal intensity and "Illuminated Rain" had a marvelous repetitive quality, like rain, cooling, cycling, gently drumming. Very enjoyable. "Night rain" had gentler touches, ambient - as it passes by, droning, bumping against the darkness, beautiful. Overall this is an excellent album, definitely worth a listen.

Informations personnelles

Warmth and Blessings to all my friends on Jamendo and have Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010. If we keep making and listening to music, I think that we can bring Peace to this troubled World. I don't know but we can surely try.
