When I saw this album's rating is full 10, my expectations went very high. Is this some kind of hidden marvel on Jamendo?
Well, not really - I was rather disappointed after listening to the whole album.
Some of the tracks are very good (I liked #3 except for the first part, #4 awoke nostalgia in me, #8 had some nice touch), but some simply annoying (#2 and #6 - didn't you forget to add actual music? #11 - WTF?! I would give at least one star more but for the last track). The rest didn't impress me much.
I think most of the tracks here can be divided into two categories that don't really fit into one album: conventional, classical music (with flutes, violins and simple melody) and experimental music (very little instruments, no real melody, some random noises). This makes the album hard to enjoy.
I really enjoyed listening to your music, although it certainly didn't cause chills running down my spine. It was a bit too... simple? predictive?
So I'd like to encourage you to experiment a little with sounds and rhythms, look for a new style.
It's a good thing you didn't try to fill your album with plenty of similar tracks. On the other hand, I hope you won't be releasing new one-track album every two weeks!
