Amazing that an album with only two tracks can be run on repeat for like - forever!
The rythm is clear and groovy as Berrier brings all the big guns; excellent guitar play accompanied by sweetas* rythm. Keep it coming!
Let me just begin by saying I've listened to this album on repeat for hours now without realizing it; ergo it's really well balanced and produced. But you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that ;)
"Hebrew classic rock" is a sweet invitation and I'm not dissapointed. This is really something out of the ordinary and I'm enjoying it to the max.
Only negative thing I have to say is that the vocals suffer the same not-so-perfect quality I posess myself, and a bit more auto tuning is really suggested - you just don't want pitchy notes on a recording, mate :S
Where's the next album???
Bosa nova blues? I don't know how else to describe the first track "Camelia's heart". The groove is totally on when Berrier hits all the right notes at all the right places. The feeling in his guitar play is beautifully accompanied by some sweet samba rhythms.
In "Flowerstyle" we get a bit more electro sound but back at the guitar - this time electric - we're totally engulfed in music, once again. Yeah, baby ;)
It's clear this is going somewhere, that Vermillia is going somewhere. Sparkle and magic is in the air - it just have to be tamed a little bit (or does it?).
Uncounted does indeed have a "live" sound, even though I don't know if it tells anything. Not that it necessarily have to.
Counting tears is another deal though. Actually makes me think of some game music (Splinter Cell:Conviction) and that's in a good way. It really sets a mood and I'm looking forward to more like this.
Wow, now here's some tracks with a lot stuff going on - a jazzy way of mixing up all kinds of elements is a delicious soup! =)
I especially like when TENDERLINE kicks of with bongo drums in a wild dance of notes and sound.
Personally I prefer a bit more straight structure, and less of the interrupting cuts, but all in all a nice experience.
The notes creep in, slowly at first, and then stronger. They pierce the skin and spread from your fingertips, through your veins, into your mind and around your heart. Well, I'm a writer ;)
KRESoff have really done something extrodinary here; while Jamendo is filled with synth/electro type of music this really tells a story. It's certainly life translated into music - no lyrics required.
Truly enjoyable.
Now there are lot of good musicians on Jamendo producing and arranging in perfect harmony, but not many "real down-to-earth artists".
That's what you get with The Postmen - they even got a proper band name, yo! :]
The songs are touching, close with perfect music and harmonies. The same quality you get with say Katie Melua.
Even though Heed the Call is cheerful and a bit more upbeat I'd like to hear stuff a bit more out of your comfort (sing-a-song) zone, something really passionate. But as always, that might just be me =)
Best of luck - hope you get some great venues!
Man I love some good jazz and this just hits the spot.
The strange thing is it's a mix of jazz and electro (not so strange?) but works very well.
Gotta digg it. Will enjoy thoroughly!
Early, it's clear I'm listening to a great composer. With a few more tracks this could be the soundtrack to any great movie or game (I detect some FF-influences). The score is as captivating as it is balanced and more importantly; there's a melody to follow and it takes you on for a great ride!
All I miss are more tracks for me to call this an album - but what's there is pure magic.
