Unbreakable

I got hooked on Deus King tonight. So this is the second album of his I am reviewing. This one, "Unbreakable," his last on Jamendo, was released almost two years ago and I hope this artist hasn't given up on composing his music for us.

Those "Unbreakable" drums, the beat and the tune was outstanding. What a cool dance tune. "Feel it" was mellow with an unique mix of instruments. I thought "Game over" sounded like a video game at its intro but developed into quite a nice mellow song. "Native American" was a nice surprise with some unique twists and turns as it progressed. I've never heard anything quite like it. I adored the drums in "Come on Over." This artist loves his percussions and is quite effective with them.

Deus King has a mellow bent and his music, ever unique, is compelling and at the same time has a calming nature. I found myself wanting to hear more of his interesting music. This album was too short for me.

My first listen to "Deus." Must say I was surprised by some of the tracks. Titles usually bring a vision to mind of what the artist had in their mind. "Game Over" really sounded like a finalization to any game from years back. What really tripped my trigger is the waking of my subwoofer in "Tears Of Sun!" While an easy listening melody, the subharmonic sweep came at just the right spot. Very good work, Deus. Like to be surprised, please do so again...

I really enjoyed this piece since it keeps the style of previous albums which were great. Again, each track is different so you don't get bored yet somehow they all fit together to compose a nice whole.

I'm not sure why, but I was more amazed listening to the previous albums (especially There's nothing impossible). Well, maybe I get used to good tunes :)
