Hello there,
This is my second LP album released on the internet under Creative Commons license. This album represents a slightly different approach then "Ephemeris" including more rhythmic and groovy elements, a touch of world and ethno music, richer selection of instruments, but it's still an chilling ambiental electronic album ideal for relaxation and rich sonic expirience.

Another excellent work!

Mr. Tomislav Ocvirek - Fortadelis has shown again his ability to excite, energize and open your inner spaces through his music. His harmonies are changing like mountain waterfalls guiding our minds towards unknown spaces. Cover of the album is very nice, I believe Fortadelis did it himself.

This artist has many undiscovered potential and he is generous enough to show us part of his big musical work with this album too. Bravo and THANK YOU!

Ambient electronic at it's best!

For the lovers of powerful, alive and positive electronic, ambient and new age music, this album is a must.

It cannot be categorized into any of these genres, though. With his new album "Fortadelis", Tomislav Ocvirek not only keeps his promise to deliver "... recognizable easy listening style with spacious multi-layered arrangement, expressive harmonization, distinctive melody line ... and elements of surprise, improvisation and unexpectable harmonic turns" - he exceeds it by far.

A "Step to eternity" indeed it may become. The opener title is comparatively slow, more or less kind of a "sad soundscape". But already in the second title, "Homage", the change begins... a combination of pan flute, synth and more rhythm make you feel the horizon widen - while at the same time you get a feeling of being connected to earth. The next song, "Praying voice", reminds us of world music, "Exploration" seems to go out and explore it...

The rest of the album is also quite full of (positive) surprises, melodic, active, full of pressure... and letting loose. Spherical and down-to-earth at the same time. You can simply feel Tomislav's love for this kind of music - and for his attention to detail and having it "rounded up" perfectly.

But what do I tell? Go ahead and get the music - it's worth it.

And, Tomislav, thank you ever so much for sharing with those who really appreciate it! Even if I'll have to create a new format for it - this will definitely get some airplay.

Con el pie cambiado

Con el pie cambiado, así es como me ha cogido el resto del señor Tomislav Ocvirek. Lanzo el "Fortadelis" en el reproductor de Jamendo sin entusiasmo y, por qué no decirlo, con cierta mala baba me digo a mi mismo "... esto fijo que va a sonar como la música de una tienda ecologista".

Lo cierto es que el "Step to Eternity" no colabora a zanjar dudas ya que se refrota con cuanto tópico se encuentra por el camino. Con la soberbia a punto de nieve recibo el "Homage", presuponiendo el plantón que me va a dar el afán explorador. Sin embargo este segundo corte del álbum sabe buscarle las espaldas a los clichés , y aunque se arranca con estereotipados sonidos "amazónicos", la componente rítmica del tema sale al rescate, dándole frescura a la composición. De nuevo, en "Praying Voices", la buena selección de los ritmos da como resultado un seducción totalitaria del oyente.

Tras un "Exploration" menos adictivo que sus predecesores, Ocviek nos propone una interesante revisión de la música "disco" setentera en su "Sky Jump".

"Wide Horizon" es una maravillosa pieza sustentada y desarrollada con piano de precisión quirúrgica. A partir de este tema, el "Fortadelis" misteriosamente se mustia, dejándose llevar por una corriente facilona a la que había conseguido burlar durante buena parte del álbum.

A pesar de los michelines, temas como "Homage", "Praying Voices", "Exploration" y "Wide Horizon" son buenas razones para dejarse acariciar temporalmente por este "Fortadelis".
