The first track has a lovely, air-rushing sense of movement, the voices passing entities helping you along your reckless path through a dimension we have little, if any, control over. Would it have to be a one-way ticket? Nice ending. A Moment Of Infinity, apart from obviously being that, is one of those curious ten minute 'moments' that can happen, and again we are exploring another dimension in the continuum, though this time we are getting with the particle and not so much of the wave, although contradistinctly, we are listening to more point and waves than the previous track. So, this is an endeavour perhaps to create an elongation of a mere fraction of a second maybe. Both tracks exploring dimensionality from different perspectives. I read something curious on the back of book, that suddenly springs to mind. Why do we hanker after immortality and then sit around complaining that we are bored? It is like taking a snapshot of something and that shot resisting the travails of time. As soon as the moment is over, time is ushering us onwards to the next. Interesting to hang around for a bit, if not eternally.
Dreamshow, makes me think of Clive Barker stories (the less gory ones, like Weaveworld) and a thought that if that dreamshow 'moment' could be captured and endured for infinity, would it ever change, or would we change? The whole point of such 'moments' might be that they do not last forever, and that might be what makes them 'special', and like I said, this yearning for 'good' experiences to last forever, is beside the point. Maybe the point is more about assimilation and continuance. The fourth track almost literally sucks the air from you, done tightly without any loose edges. Well structured and decorated. AstralCab seems almost like the former track reversed, if so I like the touch. Very similar, with a similar sense of rigidity but with different wallpaper. Overall, a brilliant little album.
