The first track was deeply resonant, straight into the subconscious, then overlaid with a plaintive wailing of synthetic voice, which develops into a nice minimalist chorus, with under tunes. Good depth achieved for a short track. Satelliti, stuttering technicalities ebb and flow, there's a horn, a warning note that this is a time of mourning almost. Low melody and variation after a minute or so. The tone lightens and rhythm alters, with perfect etiquette the simple melody gives the eulogy. Then it slowly comes to an end. Dolente Nota, slow and deep, somewhat morbid but achieved so simply. Antiche (Parte II) echoes into your brain, the synthetic tune more matter of fact, if still feeling a little resigned to life's 'rich tapestry'!-) Nice diptych of music. Zaffiro winds its organ up, for more of this excellent minimalist electronic noise and rhythm. A perfect finish, made me think of old cinemas. Nice little EP, short but sweet indeed!-)

you know, this album really helped me unwind. The tracks are short and sweet. but better than dragging out a track just for times sake. This beautifully crafted music, nice work.

In the first song "Antiche I" the time runs slowly and it is like watching reality that surrounds us with the spirit and wisdom of the ancients. The second track "Satelliti" is a moving on modern and its seems to be saying "The reality is this ... this is the reality!" And then in the third song "Nota dolente" mind reflects the old and the modern (it is truly amazing !)... leading to reconsider everything! in the fourth song "Antiche II. With the song "Zaffiro" that passes quickly us back to reality.

ciao

Because of the cover and the music itself, that makes me reflect on subjects such as energy, space, the light.
I also know that there is behind these studies something of probably more consequent. The diagrammatic small cover of an electric circuit seems to be something which now returns constantly on your premise, but i would need really additional informations to understand your major artistic step. Why? Because only the music speaks to me...
I am in general prefer a music which only explains to it all the emotions, rather than of the explanations on the music itself.
But here, the music could be easily sufficed for it even, and i've just liked to dream a short moment with essential things.

Excellent too, this one!
Very good musicality!

As I heard the first 30 notes, I had the feeling I already heard something sounding like that, but where... And "Satelliti" came from the darkness to highligh my memories... Perhaps did you watch some "tech" TV documentaries, from the old 70's and 80's, concerned with "the first seconds of the univers", or "pioneers of telecommunication", for example ? Remember the kind of music ?

Or perhaps in the oldest video games sound-tracks ?

I cannot technically critisize this work, but I like these tracks :)

Thank you Mr. Alfonso Tregua !!

This is beautiful. From very first notes I knew I wanted to listen this album carefully thru. I fell in some kind of light trance listening this. While writing this it's already third round I'm playing it and I can't stop.

This reminds me of something, but don't know exactly what. Funny... I have quit smoking many years ago but now I'd like to have one.

I want to hear more.

This is an EP of synthesized instrumentals with plenty of feeling. While the sounds are kept relatively basic, the music is deep and starting at track 2 there's a sadness to the pieces overall. While a lot of artists would just focus on that aspect, Alfonso Tregua writes with more subtlety and therefore I'd go so far as to say it tries to portray more than simply one emotion. I've given it a 6 mainly because of it's length, but to some extent it's also down to my own differing taste. What can I say except 'well done'. I'll certainly be back for more.
