NOTE: This performance is a field recording by the venue's mixing board; which blew out a few times during the performance. Best methods were used in remixing and mastering to maintain continuity of the performance.

Pour le coup, on entend bien que c'est un live, l'enregistrement n'est vraiment pas bon (c'est vraiment dommage...), mais par contre le Jazz des musiciens, lui, est bien présent...
L'ambiance des titres est celle d'un Ornette Coleman, d'un Don Cherry dans Complete Communion, c'est à la limite du free-jazz, sur le fil, très 70... avec ces thèmes décousus et ces chorus "regardons par là ce qu'il y a à imaginer".

I love live recordings - so recording quality is of no import on my perspective to this brilliant band.
This is killer avant garde jazz where you will catch themes and gateways to improv and musical insight ...like I always wished I could hear in much so called real jazz -
This music redefines the word "psychedelic" as it relates to "heightened awareness" and musical experience -
This music is a gem to find here in Jamendo
The James Quintet also redefines "contemporary jazz" with continuity to jazz timings and mind-bending washes and walls of lush musical storms.
Just love this stuff!! Yeeeah!
