Fabio Santangelo was born in Foggia, Italy in 1979. At the age of 14, he began studying piano, but after three years, he decided that his instrument of choice was electronic keyboards.
During the period from 1996 to 2012, Fabio composed many instrumentals, ranging from his principal genre, blues, through a variety of other styles, including classical, ethnic, jazz, pop. Plus, he experimented with many crossovers. During this period, he collaborated with some Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) artists in Italy, and was part of the Gospel Choir of the Evangelical Church in Foggia.
In 2005, Fabio moved to Vigevano, Italy where he collaborated with A. Santoro, a former member of an Italian CCM band. Together, they founded the Choir of Vigevano Evangelical Church. His role was co-director, musician and arranger. The choir experience lasted two years, after which he continued with his musical experimentation. In 2012, he reunited with Santoro. Together, they founded the CCM duo called Dual Sound. They recorded an Italian CD entitled Saremo là (We’ll Be There), on which Fabio is the primary musician and arranger, while Santoro is the songwriter, and vocalist.
Finally, in the second half of 2012, Fabio returned to his roots and composed a new, solo blues CD entitled The Italian Bluesman. On December 1, 2012, it was released for digital download. Fabio is booking live shows and working on new songs for his upcoming album.
