Scottish born singer/songwriter, Gordon Ferguson, aka Manny, has just released his debut album "Sideshow". The album is the result of two years of writing and recording. So dedicated is Manny to his music that he converted his lounge into a sound proof recording studio from where the whole album was produced. Work on 'Sideshow' was completed in March this year, and is now available on CD from http://www.sideshowmanny.com (5€ including shipping anywhere in the world)
Scottish by birth Manny now resides in Luxembourg, although his "Scottishness" is never far away in his vocal delivery. Where many artists try to hide their accents Manny never over plays it but allows it to surface naturally, and to such a successful effect.
Of the songs on the album Manny says: "I'm not trying to make any kind of statement, I'm not trying to invent new genres or be on the bleeding edge of 'whatever'. My only aim when I set out was to record a collection of songs that I'd want to listen to myself, and that's exactly what I did"
From intimate bars to podcasts to internet radio to the main stream, the journey has just begun for Manny, and even though the album may be called "Sideshow" this artist will be the main attraction before too long.
