Founded in Lima - Peru in the mid 80's, M.A.S.A.C.R.E. is nowadays considered one of the most representative metal bands in South America. From their first album "Sin Piedad" ("Without Mercy") (1988), released in Venezuela, to the worldwide acclaimed "En Pie de Guerra" ("On The Warpath") (2004), produced at Henson Studios in Hollywood by Germán Villacorta - well known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Rage Against The Machine - M.A.S.A.C.R.E. hasn't stopped reinventing its sound, having throughout this constant evolution the most fierced musicians around the area and having shared the stage with important bands like Quiet Riot, Transmetal, Criminal and Rata Blanca, among others. M.A.S.A.C.R.E. also represented Peru in the V8 and Kraken Latin American tribute albums, two legendary metal bands from Argentina and Colombia, respectively. In 2006 the band was invited to the "I Latin American Heavy Metal Meeting" in Madrid - Spain, where it was widely recognized by the press as one of the best metal bands in the Spanish language. Currently M.A.S.A.C.R.E. is getting ready for a forthcoming studio album and an international tour, that has no other intention than to take around the globe the heaviest most powerful Latin American thrash metal.


Formada en Lima-Perú a mediados de los 80's, M.A.S.A.C.R.E. es actualmente considerada una de las bandas más representativas del metal sudamericano. Desde su primera placa "Sin Piedad" (1988) editada en Venezuela, hasta el mundialmente halagado "En Pie De Guerra" (2004), producido en Henson Studios de Hollywood por Germán Villacorta - conocido por sus trabajos con Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Rage Against The Machine - , M.A.S.A.C.R.E. no ha detenido la constante reinvención de su sonido, habiendo contado con los mejores músicos del medio durante su historia y compartido escenario con importantes bandas como Quiet Riot, Transmetal, Criminal y Rata Blanca, entre otros.
De igual manera, M.A.S.A.C.R.E. ha representado al Perú en los tributos latinoamericanos a V8 y Kraken, legendarias bandas de Argentina y Colombia, respectivamente.
En el año 2006 fueron invitados al "I Encuentro Latinoamericano de Heavy Metal" en Madrid, España, evento en el cual M.A.S.A.C.R.E. fue ampliamente reconocido por la prensa como una de las mejores bandas de metal de habla hispana. Actualmente M.A.S.A.C.R.E. se prepara para una próxima producción en estudio y una gira internacional, que pretende llevar a diferentes partes del mundo el más poderoso y la contundente thrash metal latinoamericano.
