the second voice is a man called Enrico Mattei, he was the leading manager of italian state oil industry.
His story is very complex but very clear.
He fought all the time USA oil companies focusing on bringing Italy in a indipendent position about energetic resources.
He was killed on a bomb on his plane in early 60, untill 1984 all the world knew it was just an accident.
I am explaining it fast but it is far more complex. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enrico_Mattei
I think he was one of the few people to be able being called "italian".
well his speak is almost something like this:
Mattei: Someone risedagainst us some terrible polemics .
But we kept working and getting stronger, just trying to dont being hit.
The goal was to choke us or leave us weak.
We found Methane deposits in Enna proximities (sicily city t.n.).
We tested the deposit yesterday for about 150ooo cubic meters per day.
Another near there gives about 50ooo cm per day.
We need work for italians, work for southern Italy.
Mattei: Someone called me to meet one of the seven big. One of the biggest; their budget is kinda like Italy one.
pressman: the seven sisters? ( the italian name to fast recognize the seven big USA oil companies t.n.)
Mattei: Yes, one of the seven sisters.
They wanted to meet me to find a way to cohoperate.
Well, all the cohoperation in which
this famous leader was interested in, was something like this:
let's both rise up oil prices in Italy, lets all gain more.
well, this it's my duty opposite, because i am a State Company Manager.
I must always lower prices.
And i told him : well, i think that, your time in Italy is done, cause we are here now.
After that, i still had some other stuff to discuss about, but i grabbed a pencil and deleted everything from my notebook, and i told him:
I think,we have nothing more to say, but you will remember this discussion forever,
because we are poor; we need to work.
