I like the direction that scoldt is taking and love the emphasis put on the vocals, I like the scream so heavy and breathed, it looks like they are suffering from something and is an important part of a song's interpretation (if it's justified by the song).
Great melody, great voice, love the bass... I really enjoy scoldt's albums, they look all so well balanced to me and are all albums I love at the first listen, over the last month I almost exclusively listened (when not shuffle rotating on itunes, where I have no control over what I listen ^_^) to them, all:my:faults and The Ocean Collective... this means they are amongst my fav. bands! ^_^
hmmm! This is not a review on this single album... I could copy and paste this on every one of their album pages... O_O Do I have to? ^_^
fav. track: See no light
This album is still the best for me, I love all of their albums, even the newest neo.Noir, but, probably because I'm more used to it, this is still my favourite, I've loved Secrests from the very deep of my liver, I'm more of a metal (black/death) guy and I wasn't used to elctro/dark atmospheres, but it enchanted me and it accompained me throgh hard, dark, sad moments I happened to live in the last months, this music was on the same tunes as my slaughtered feelings and I appreciated it very much, thank you guys, keep composing great music!
Fav. tracks: Misanthropy, Words, Decision
all:my:faults achieves more complexity and deepness in this album, the songs re hard to understand at the very first listen, but are songs you can listen 10000 times and always be amazed by their distorted freshness, I'll surely buy this album on emusic.com the next 11 february 2008 (the day my amount of monthly downloadable songs will be recharged! ^_^)
