The second release from this artist and very much a continuation of ideas and thoughts from his previous “prairie wolves" release. Safe to say, if you liked that one you will enjoy this one just as much. If you didn't find yourself hooked by the earlier one then this album won't do it for you either. As the artist himself likens music to soup, I will say this; if the first release was "chicken and mushroom" flavour then this one is a "mushroom and chicken" alternative. In fact my player has mixed together the tracks on both albums and I have trouble telling which track came from which release.
To pick just a couple, the "Holy Fire" track is a favourite with its blend of crackling fire and ethereal church sounds. The other, and my personal favourite from them all, is the final one "A Cricket". This had me intrigued from early on as to the final fate of the insect with a preference for playing his chirps on a main railway line. If you want to discover if he survived or perished you will have to listen to the track as I'm not telling you the outcome!
As it similar in content to the other album I am scoring it the same. Thanks Marek for another interesting and different collection.
