Another new name to me in the ever lengthening list of exponents of the multi-complex variants of the "Polish Sound". This one pushes the term "music" to the outer levels and even the artist himself uses terms like transcendental and noise to describe his work.
To these you could easily add scratch, glitch, oblique, dark, field, effected improvisation, abstract, experimental and many more. In fact I would like to term it all as simply "unEasy Listening". On first play I was not impressed. It was an effort to even try to get into the artist's creative mind. It took me until track 5 on the second play before I could start to comprehend, even vaguely, as to what was attempting to go on. It became easier then and, as well as 5, tracks 4 and 9 in particular came across and I finally could start to enjoy the pieces. There remain some difficult to grasp ones; I still can't get my head around track 8 for example and struggle to get to the end of that one.
Overall, this is a mixed album and is most certainly an acquired listening taste. It is also a good album, and as Jamendo score a good album as a seven, I have gone along with that rating and done the same. Thanks to Mark for an interesting and satisfyingly different release.
