Either you release the full songs or you don't, everything inbetween is just lame. I'm sure everyone would much rather have a promo of 1-2 songs instead of short samples of all of them.
Nothing new here, just standard rock & roll, made for rock & roll fans, probably made by some drunk friends having fun in a studio. If that's a bad thing just depends on the person.
One thing however.. I don't like how the vocals in the last 2 tracks are higher in the mix than the rest of the instruments, destroys the atmosphere.
I hope your next release will be a bit less generic. :)
Well, this must be a compilation of sorts. You could have put a description to it to explain the idea behind it.
But what can I say.. the songs sound mostly similar, perhaps even too long for their own good. I'm not very knowledgable about this sort of electronic music, so I just call it ecstasy music. No track really stands out, it's all just dancable trance and I think I'd recommend it to fans of trance, but it doesn't have much for other people, and I guess it isn't supposed to. :)
But it has one flaw, I noticed that you sometimes stop playing.. why not use that to split the song into a few smaller songs? It would be much better, since I like listening to a shuffled playlist of all the releases I like, and having a few one hour+ songs in the playlist disrupts the flow.
Hell, I'd split up your songs myself, if it weren't for that that then it wouldn't show up on the jamendo playlist. :(
But as I said.. a nice listen nontheless.
The riffs don't sound bad, but it's way too tame, not exciting at all. Casual metal.
All I really have to say.
Ahh, lovely stuff. In some songs it's a bit hard to listen to with a headache, cause the snare sounds too harsh. Not just because of the headache, but because the music is so chill and it doesn't fit.
So, this music isn't perfect, but still almost flawless.
haha. i like this for some reason. it makes me smile, and I don't know why. so uh.. just listen. I am rendered speechless.
It started out fairly atmospheric, clean guitars and background noise etc.. but when the heavy part started, something felt missing. The vocalist for instance, I love harsh vocals in melodic/slow/heavy music, but they must actually help with the atmosphere. The vocalist in this recording is way higher in the mix than the rest, and thus, overpowers it, and he doesn't sound trained either. It'd be all right if the vocals had some sort of atmospheric effect on them, reverb, echo, distortion, basically anything the guitars are getting, but like this, they are almost useless.
The rest is great though. Guitars melodic but harsh, percussion heavy, etc. I like it.
This is kind of fun death/grind, has an old-school quality to it in terms of songwriting, but a bit too repetitive for this style of music. Production-wise, this isn't bad either. I just wish the snare drums was more audible in the blastbeat parts and the vocals lower in the mix.
Awfully dry production, you can barely hear the guitars. The vocals also suck ass(heh!) and are quite undeserving of being so high in the mix. This would be way better if more work was put into it.
