Ok, this was one of the coolest surprises in the middle of the night. To find out that Deathboy has landed on Jamendo! Now Jamendo feels like home. LOL
I've liked Deathboy's music since I heard and reviewed their song "Sacrifice" years ago on.. (not sure if it's cool to mention other music places here) well, a different place. Been listening to them and recommending them to folks ever since.
Great stuff, give it a listen.
Punk with a big sound! It's got a lot of great elements, from the sense of humor on some tracks to the anger on others. The band plays tight and wild. Some moments the mix felt a little muddy to me, but the raw energy makes up for it. This band has a lot of that "turn on a dime" precision during the changes that you pretty much only get with a band that plays a LOT, both at gigs and rehearsals.
Def some good stuff!
Excellent stuff, very well produced and a great mood. The songs are interesting and engaging, the musicianship is superb. Vocals are distinctive and memorable.
I'd find it very hard to say what this duo "sounds like", since they're quite distinctive. I give it a 10.
A very well put together album. Good songs, they have an interesting sound. My favorite track would be "shinymetal". Definitely worth a listen.
Well crafted songs, amusing lyrics, good tight playing. This is a fun album.
Very tight, fluent, adrenaline pumping tunes. This band must be just amazing to see live! Great stuff!
Good basic rock/metal. Reasonably good production, clear vocals, good intrumental work.
Good production, excellent songs and musicianship, distinctive vocalist. And plenty of romp-n-stomp metal/rock with good energy. Top marks.
A really nifty sort of fusion of funk, rock and electro bits. Good solid songs, excellent singer. Good stuff.
This is just weird, wild, fun.. and quite well done. If you're looking for something different but good, this could be it.
