Well produced but, well, "mostly harmless". Probably the right sort of music, if you're actually in love - for the first time. **Nononostopcut!** ...forget that last one, I just couldn't resist ;)
and well done. Fat arpeggios to wrap the theme into melodic layers, straight and powerful beat. I wished a little more "progression" in it, but that's a matter of taste.
The only thing I don't understand is: why is everybody cranking up the high band so hard these days? This is the sixth album in a row that almost hurts my ears. I just double checked my monitors: Astral Projection are still sounding perfect so do GMS. Both records are known to be mastered perfectly, so my ears & EQ are ok and the crispy highs (esp. High Hats) of everyone else are just too loud. Hmm. No big deal. I just wondered...
Endzeit-Effekt mal wieder...
This is just a bundle of boring, old clichees dumped into nine minutes of audio. Sounds like someone just some randomly chose sounds from a loop collection and ran a handful of VST-presets over it.
A rather low-tech but highly inspired and original approach. I miss the euphoric drive and imperative basslines that use to come with goa trance. This release to me rather aims for the head than for the legs. Or as my (not so polite) co-producer uses say: "Who do you think is going to dance to that?!"
Nevertheless, the psychedelic/goa scene needs nothing more than fresh ideas and you are obviously coming along with a lot them. Cool lead synths, but if I were you, I'd put much more effort into the bassline.
And you don't need to get bored this time. Quite nice and interesting chill-out (not Ambient!) music with refreshing electro, trance and even psy-influences.
elevator music from the future
Well, that's definitely quite a nice album. I just wonder, why I found it when looking for "trance". That's almost pure Deep House to me. Not exactly my personal style -so I won't get into it to "deep", haha!- but certainly one of the most recommendable House releases on Jamendo.
