Hey, this could have been a lot worse (better). That said, it really does appeal to my sense of "badness." Some of it is really cool bad, like Gilles Snowcat, sounds like noise I might make at home while drunk and bored on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Other tracks are calculatingly bad. Only a true master like Coke Al-Jose can crank out a horrible car wreck of a tune like Seaside Casino Romance. Then there's bad in the classic sense with Giant Squid March on Washington and The Chadderandom Abyss. Gotta had it to Mudit, too, just for trying. Crazy Musician is trying my nerves right now!

And while I'm on a roll, please bear with me while I plug some of the truly awful artists that have produced some of the biggest musical turds to date: The Exploding Plastic Inedible show by Astro Al live at Goatstock 3: http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/8458 .
If that doesn't make you retch, try GBVO by the Greater Boston Visionary Outpost: http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/4076 . Very strange that some people liked this album, but the one French reviewer got it right! GBVO sucks! If you're just looking for a totally f'ed up sound to completely ruin your evening, you can always try: http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/24844 . To be honest, I don't think that Hello Shark is all that bad, but they do sound almost exactly like this in a live performance. The reviewers were slamming the quality of the recording, but hey, they weren't at the show, so what would they know?

Your's in awfulness,
Randy

An amazing recordng! What impresses me is how realistic and expressive the orchestra sounds. At times I could swear that it was a real orchestra. This isn't a big trick with an instrument like the harpsichord, but the strings sound fantastic. It is all rendered precisely and expressively. The compositions have a good deal of serious baroque thrills and faithfully follow the practice of 250 years ago. Nice job!

It is good to see well performed music by serious composers on this site, and this music is at the top of my list. I am looking forward to hearing more music from Sergio Naddei. lo specchio delle cose is a brilliant work! It has something that is missing from most contemporary chamber music these days... a sense of drama and intrigue.

Although this isn't quite long enough to qualify as an album, and it isn't my favorite genre of music, I wanted to leave a review to say that it is clear that Mudit Sood is on his way to develop his musical talents. Dynamic Inheritance shows that he clearly can develop and produce a good song and is adept at using his tools to produce a good sound. What I think is next is to put more effort into developing more interest in the songs. My favorite tracks are 3 and 2, in that order, and I would enjoy hearing A Ride in my Mind before it was a techno tune.

Please keep up the good work!

You guys aren't afraid to use a little dissonance where it can be useful to advance to the cause of your art.

Wow. Your lead singer is good! All the playing is first rate. This one goes to the top of my list.

I love this stuff! Very clever! The overall production quality is totally 2008, but it has the feel of The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour" or the White Album. There aren't that many people that could pull off something this good.

Got to hand it to Ben Wilkins! He is a first rate musical talent, sophisticated lyricist and songwriter. Take a listen to Sentimental Famine. It's a song about a couple that no longer have feelings for each other. It would be a cheap way out to simply make a song about the emotions of the present, but Wilkins tells a story, handles it delicately, and the overall emotional impact is remarkable.

I agree with George the Flea's point that there is a lot of seeming repetition, the driving piano primarily, but there is also a good deal of variety. The overall jazzy sound is enjoyable, you might just want to break the album up and listen to a few songs at a time.

Remix? A Beatles party. There's a lot of material left to mine in the Beatles library. It's a rich vein, and Phon has struck the motherlode. Thanks for a unique experience.

Hey! Another great album! I've downloaded most of your music and burned a few CDs, and you are on my favorite artist list.

One question though, were did you get that suit? I was told that it got lost at the dry cleaner back in 1985!

Seriously though, if you'd like to jam sometime, I'd be happy to cook up some skronky sounds for you.

The singer is hot, and the harp is smokin'!!!

These guys are from Madrid, as in Spain? The singer's enunciation is good enough that I can understand most of the lyrics (guessing English is not his first language), and he can really deliver a tune. The harp is the best I've heard on Jamendo... he can hold his own with any band anywhere in the world for that matter!

Not old style blues... a little more modern swing... but I swear, these guys sound better than most of the blues bands around Boston.

If I didnt know better, I'd swear I was in Kansas City drinking beer and eating BBQ...

This album has one of the best covers I've ever seen on Jamendo!

Although some of the music is pretty bad, it isn't all that terrible. Well, actually, it is extremely terrible.

Great cover though...
