Smoky Jazz Dub
is a journey, its a story of a single night...

(after hours) you are out late drinking your troubles away in a sleezy jazz bar, you find yourself chatting with someone. You're both happy of the company.

(back for coffee) Time passes and you decide to go back to their place for a coffee. Things get laid back, chilled out and physical.

(shuffle) Soon passions rise, things get heated and the night begins.......

(countdown) its much later, things are calm again, you both drift in and out of consciousness in each others arms, exhausted, yet vaguely thoughtful of the night that's almost finished.

(good bye and so long) ..... morning comes, its time to face reality, you can stay and face the awkwardness or you can quietly get dressed and leave. You decide on the latter, you leave a little note - good bye and so long x

... and chillout. Great album, fine fat beats and very tasty tone of electric piano. Music isn't very sophisticated, but who cares? It is great as background for something. I liked harmony of beat and bassline - it generates specific flow. Then we add to them electric piano, some synths and some acoustic drums, and we get really good, nice tracks. Good job!

Je possède de bonnes enceintes Logitech et le son est excellent. Les compositions de Smoky Jazz Dub sont apaisantes et très inspirées, rien à redire... sauf que c'est pas mon truc ! Mais je peux comprendre et respecter bien entendu l'engoument quasi unanime pour ce mini album.

Probablement trop "terre à terre" pour moi, je préfère me tourner vers l'autre, beaucoup plus atmosphérique et planant comme j'aime ; il s'agit de Sion Ambients, assez proche du style Jarre à ses débuts, j'y fais d'ailleurs référence dans ma critique que je vous invite à lire si ça vous intéresse...
