Equalypse keeps the line of music that could be heard on Beta. The tracks are nice, inventive, melodic electronic music which sound retro in the best sense of the word - more 1980s than 1970s. They kind of remind me of the more melodic bits from Tangerine Dream. While there's a good variety in sounds, I lack more variety in feeling, rhythms, speed of the tracks. Except for two or three, they feel very similar. Oh, and the last track really is a joke - intentional or unintentional, I don't know. Anyway, a very good album worth a listen. If you're looking for original electronic music that isn't cheesy, repetitive or stupid, go for Equalypse's Beta and Gamma.

This is a very nice trip . . . lasting for an hour, one could go on many explorations with this music . .. . letting it sink into the pores of ones spirit . . . feeling uplifted and adventurous . . . yet also able to relax on the spaceship of ones desire whilst being flung through space . . ..I was trying to find some music that wouldn't intrude on my reading pleasure today, and I decided that this was it . . . the music is smooth and interesting . . . but not TOO interesting . . . just enough to be a pleasure for the background flavorings of my readings . . . Having said all that, "Gamma_06" approached my heart with a melancholic touch and gave me a differing mood from the previous songs . . . catching my attention and touching me with its emotional feelings . . . (See what happens when I make a judgment after listening to just one third of an album?) . . . so. . . just saying, I really like that particular tune. And also the striking ethereal sounds of "Gamma_09" were quite ear catching and captivating . . . soul searing with a sorrowful wailing . . . quite beautiful . . . I thought maybe the angels were crying . . . mesmerizing . . . Overall . . . this is an excellent album . . . the sounds are great and the purpose sublime . .. a trek through the beauteous reaches of space . . . the feeling and the sensations . . . brought to you in one great album . . or . . . enjoy it purely as the background to accompany an earthly endeavor . . . I did and I am grateful for this lovely music . . .
