It was exactly one year ago today when me moved to the countryside, away from the overcrowded noisy city with its traffic jams and pollution. However, in order to get to work we have to go by train, every working day - there and back.
In this album I have converted some of my personal impressions as a commuter into music. As to me electronic- combined with orchestral-music fits the best. Of course, you always need a platform to get on and off the `Commuter Train´ (track 2). In our case we have two platforms No 2 and 3 (tracks 1 and 5). Both pieces of music reflect a bit the boredom you experience while waiting on the train, and the relief when the delayed train really arrives, and probably also the anger you feel if you cannot grab any empty seat on the train.
Sometimes your train slows down or even stops because of a major disorder. And since this happens very frequently, there are two tracks on the album named `Major Disorder´ (part 1 and part 2). I reckon the second one is more serious than the first one.
What is really annoying are people who need to share each aspect of their boring life with each other, with a loudness sufficient for a crowded pub or a football stadium. Without ear plugs you are absolutely lost. The track `Chatterbox No 9´ (track 6) is dedicated to all those people.
Then again, you might also experience a `Smooth Ride´ (track 7) and probably you even find time for a decent and `Deep Sleep´, once or twice (tracks 8 and 9).
When you wake up, you think about the `High Voltage´ (track 10) above your head, on top of the train. It makes you feel uncomfortable once in a while, even if you listen to the `High Voltage Symphony´ (track 11).
All of a sudden, there is some `Red Alert´ (track 12) and time to panic! Finally you feel quite well and comfortable when you are `Back Home´ (track 13) again after a hard day´s work..... and you can enjoy the country life.
