This album hasn't budged from the top ten of my listen list since 3 years. So hear me out, this is not an impulse review.
I just can't seem to get tired of it. After a few weeks, I knew all the catchy songs by heart, and still now I'm discovering the hidden gems. It's really as perfect a balance as you can get.
The theme of the album is something that might not satisfy your taste, but hey, there IS a theme, and it's pretty consistent.
Let's face it, there is no running away. The world needs you, people. If you can't reform, just start a new project that will deliver the same kind of punch.
Favourite catchy: Walk ye the plank
Favourite hidden gem: The awakening, part 2
Favourite rotfl: Scourge of the black spot
The one I loathe with all me heart: Spilt beer and drunken tears
You know, I must say you guys are the best thing I've heard in a long time... and its a shame I only found you guys in the late 2009. I must say, everyone who hears it in my car always ask who they are and then they come here to get a copy of it.
I would love to donate to you guys, but I'm not sure since you guys seem to have stopped playing in 2007. If you guys are still around, I would love to help contribute... would be awesome to find out what you guys are up to now too!
I think these tracks are super smooth, and they show this band to be the great group that they were.
Overall, this album is instrumental, as opposed to ...Like A Cannonball To The Ocean Floor, which shows a lot more lyrical style.
Both releases are very highly recommended.
