Tony Bardon, never fails to Impress, Inspire, Entertain and most importantly regale the Ears with Warm Vocals and a Lyrical Guitar Melody. Fans of this Artist likely know that many of his Songs are inspired/based on the poetry of W.B Yeats; however, that is not the case with this Composition. A poem by the poet Joseph Mary Plunkett is the source of Inspiration which Bardon sets to music most Melodically with the aforementioned Soul Warming Vocals, Gentle Guitar and Flowing Violin. Simply a Beautiful Musical Performance.
Tony Bardon's Ballads typically feature Warm, Soothing and Lyrical Vocals/Melodies but, in my opinion, this Song ranks among his very best if not Best Work. Every aspect; Melody, Harmony, Arrangement/Instrumentation, Vocal and theme of the Lyrics fit PERFECTLY. The Song is strongly reminiscent of the Style of Ballads heard in 1970s, for example "I Can Feel Your Heartbeat", The Partridge Family that were heard on AM Radio of the Era: there was a Emotional Feeling in this Manner of Music which is rarely heard today. Bardon has captured it perfectly and as far as I am concerned this is a HIT!
Many Songs that sing of Revolution or love of country are Militaristic and Bombastic: this Single is not cut from that cloth. Once again Tony Bardon brings his brand of Lyrical Acoustic Guitar and a Candle Glow Warmth in the Vocal to the Poetry of W.B. Yeats Enjoy!
