Shark Attack! is the brainchild of Tualatin, Oregon resident Eric Dauenhauer, whose first exposure to music was the piano at the age of 10 or 11. Since then, he has learned clarinet, tenor saxophone, ukulele, guitar, didgeridoo, and drum set. He still hasn't learned how to sing. He records music in a very simple way, using just a mixer and low level recording software to record songs track by track. He can't afford any of that fancy stuff that studios use, although he's trying to upgrade soon. His main influence is from Flight Of The Conchords. For a while, Eric tried to make "serious" music, but found that he was horrible at it. Flight Of The Conchords was the first band that made him realize that music could still be fun to listen to even if it didn't have a serious or personal topic. Since then he has been doing his best to make people laugh. Check his website for new songs in between album releases. Don't expect to get new songs very often, though. http://www.freewebs.com/edauenhauer

Not particularly melodic. But reminds me of my college hallmates and my singing in years past. So off-beat that I downloaded tracks 3,4,5,9,10 to my iPod. I often think of the Macademia song when I eat a macadamian nut cookie. ;-)
