Working backwards through this catalogue of music, I missed quite a few good shreds when this came out. That being said, this composer, while semi-improvisational, seems to have what it takes to go from the ballad like tones of one or two pickups on to the full tilt of all on for the shredding. "Vaporizer" is an excellent example of that, and then to move in an entirely different direction with "So Low" and "For J.B." I must agree, the drumming does have a sameness to it (in sound only), but that can be rectified...
Good job with the solos - would love to see collaboration with David Imbernon, PeerGynt Lobogris and yourself.
Put Larry Crowell in your sights for an artist to listen to and add his music to your collection. It's no secret that I like guitar music, and there are a few on Jamendo that I watch for. I now add another to watch beside PeerGynt Lobogris, Phil of the Mezcalero's, & Constantine and now Larry Crowell.
Shredding is no easy task, as ones fingers can skip over so many of the necessary notes of the scales intended. So far I haven't caught that.
I did like what I've heard, but to be fair I will need to go back over the previous works for a full review. "Catalyst" piqued my interest as well as "Short and Sweet"
