•Good things come to those who wait, and this can be said of David Krystal who with two stunning studio albums and a prodigious live album has broken the top ten on Europe's digital radio favorite - Jamendo. Krystal is racking up thousands of plays and downloads on the Pandora tantamount with his song Say You Love Me from his 2010 debut album ‘View From The Inside’. Krystal's blend of Soul/folk, R&B and Acoustic pop is taking flight across Europe just as he’s released his second studio album ‘She Sings To Me’.
•David Krystal's sophomore release is an album that stretches sonic boundaries. With a hefty full sound, Krystal's soulful voice shepherds his tender words in the second compilation of his triptych series; ‘Songs of Hope and Sorrow’. She Sings To Me dishes up emotionally seductive songs, in a further exploration of the human condition.
•The lead off track Love Isn't Wasted plays out like a "how-to" manual on writing a great song. The perfect tempo and key for a melody that can play out softly or in intense rapture is established in the first four bars. Krystal makes no waste of this framework as he delivers up a dynamic love utopia redolent of Van Morrison and Marvin Gaye. Cover Me is a breezy R&B number that asks us all to slow down and spread a little love around. All or Nothing re-tells the timeless story of young love to a soothing ambient background that evokes the west coast days of Don Henley and Gram Parsons. The title track She Sings to Me is a celestial journey rich in sound textures, as it offers up solace after loss. One only needs to listen to any of the songs on ‘She Sings To Me’ and it becomes clear, David Krystal means business. He is making music that by design is meant to last.
•The making of Krystal's second album started in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico with Texan based Billy (Blanco) White and ended in TO, Canada, with engineer extraordinaire Lenny DeRose. Throughout the production Krystal was dedicated to maintaining clarity in sound and performance, and as a result, ‘She Sings To Me’ is one of those albums that flows rhythmically yet journeys unexpectedly. Every song is produced like a gift to the listener.
